LUKAS KONIECZNY
Director
Holding over 13 years of multi disciplinary experience in all ranges of commercial industrial and residential construction both in Australia and abroad, Lukas holds the experience required in delivering any project required of Newpol Construction.
Having commence his career working for one of Melbourne’s leading top tier companies, gaining experience in estimating and cost planning he then spent time in the United Kingdom working for the largest construction firm as part of a £1.8 billion green field project as a contract administrator. Upon returning to Melbourne he was driven to work towards starting his own business. With this in mind he spent the next few years working for leading Melbourne boutique builders gaining experience in running several jobs concurrently with projects in the range of $2-12 million.
Working under all forms of construction agreements in both the private and public sector the projects have ranged from high end retail, heritage refurbishments, multi-level residential, education and commercial fit out. Held common throughout is a high level of architectural detail and standard of finish.
Lukas’ broad expertise with complex projects has led to strengths in communication with client, consultant and contractor alike, providing modern solutions and positive project outcomes. His unbroken commitment and ability to think outside the box ensures that the clients’ needs are always met along with the project requirements of cost, quality and time.
Lukas holds a Bachelor of Planning and Design and Bachelor of Property & Construction (1st Class Honours) from the University of Melbourne.
ALASTAIR GRANT
Director
Alastair gained a Bachelor of Property and Construction and a Bachelor of Planning and Design at the University of Melbourne. While studying, he supplemented his experience by working for a top tier inner city construction company.
Once graduated, Alastair worked for an international construction company based in London, gaining experience in most forms of commercial and residential construction and was part of an extremely successful team delivering high profile government projects. After returning to Australia, Alastair joined a top tier builder/developer in Melbourne and became part of their senior management team, delivering projects from Industrial warehouses to high end residential developments.
Developing a strong portfolio in large scale multi residential projects for a developer/builder, Alastair’s strengths are held in financial control and high end finishes required by multiple tenants of such projects.
Alastair’s excellent problem solving, eye for detail and high level management skill has transposed seamlessly into his own business, Newpol Construction. A testament to his reputation is the fact that several past clients have now approached Newpol Construction to carry out some of their building works.
Always one to be spoken highly about by client and contractor alike, Alastair will always go the additional step to ensure the client’s expectations are met.

Dieter Ruff
Construction Manager
Dieter brings on board over 36 years of experience across ALL sectors within both domestic and commercial Tier 2 & 3 construction.
After starting within the industry as a carpenter, Dieter completed his Diploma of Building in 1982. From that time he worked his way up through the traditional development progress of Foreman, Site Manager, Project Manager, Construction Manager to State Manager, a role he held for the last 8 years with an award winning reputable tier 3 builder.
Along with his breadth of experience Dieter brings with him a history of growing several current and reputable construction companies including Johns Lyng and other Tier 2 builders. His hands on, open door and team focused management style works in close synergy with that of Newpol Construction.
While upholding traditional values and the importance of treating all stakeholders with utmost respect and priority, he promotes a companywide focus on encouraging an environment of trust, teamwork and leadership.
Additionally Dieter also sits on the board of management of the TTHA Aged Care Facility currently undergoing comprehensive expansion within their Bayswater site.
